Maurice Ord is an English entertainer, writer, singer and raconteur. Since moving to Berlin in 2011 he's been entertaining International audiences with his own unique  song and story based shows and performances. His first show in the city: A Cabaret Story - Berlin's Live Historical Revue, had a successful five year run at the aptly named Sally Bowles' Arts Cafe in Nollendorf Platz before closing in 2016. 

 

In 2017 he began a close working relationship with Finnish actress and director Anitra Bohmnan-Penttinen and Innovation Art Theatre. Together they performed Maurice's second show Tea with Marlene, a musical parody for which they co - wrote the song: Murdering Hitler With A Hairpin.

 

Their working relationship continued throughout 2018 and saw them join forces as theatre performance duo: Tea for Two. Their first official show together: Tea With...? is a modern day spoof on the celebrity talk show were the guest is dead.

 

Maurice has been seen on  British Television  where he gave a kabarett masterclass (German Style!) to the  contestants of Channel Four's Coach Trip Series. He also appeared at Berlins Historic and prestigious “Hotel Adlon” as well as touring in Greece and Denmark. In 2019  he took up German Nationality and lives with his partner in the Wilmersdorf area of Berlin.

 

He studied at The Birmingham School of Speech and Drama (Now The Royal  Birmingham Conservatoire of Music and Drama) and at The Central School of  Speech and Drama (London University).
